So, if I travel from Dresden to Stafford on day services (via Brussels, Eurostar and Avanti) it uses ONE DAY pass.

I'm a bit confused if I use the sleeper. Leaving Dresden late in the evening (but before midnight) and completing the rest of the journey we'll within 24 hours, do I still just use ONE day or would it be two days. If it's one day, it is worth using, if two - it's not!

Thanks in advance.

A day is from 00.01 to 23.59 and completing any journey started before 23.59 until you leave that train.

Slight complication is that it is based on CET

Paper pass works with local time; mobile pass theoretically works with CET/CEST (according to the conditions of use) but in practice also uses local time, meaning it doesn't adhere to the conditions of use.
