Looking for options to connect with Eurostar in connection with a possible European trip in September or October (probably using a DB Sparpreis from London).
BRFares says that a Euro High Saver single from Liverpool Stations to London International (CIV) exists, price £44.80. Arrival at Euston before 0940 Mon-Fri is barred, but that should be fine for what I want to do and much more generous (and cheaper) than the normal off peak restrictions on Virgin.
I believe RailEasy is the only site which sells these tickets online these days. However, searching for journeys on the morning of 23rd September (no firm plans at the moment, just plucking a random date to play with timings etc), the site does not offer the £44.80 ticket, even for journeys arriving after 0940. I only see various Advances or the £162.50 "Euro Standard Single".
So, is BRFares correct that this fare still exists? And if so, is a trip to a physical ticket office necessary to purchase it? Happy to buy an Advance if they are available cheaper than the walk-up fare, but most seem more expensive.
