Dose any one know what the interior of the Class 374 looks like. Also what the refurbished Class 373 interior looks like?

I don't think there's been any pictures released of either (there's probably been computer renders of the 374 though)

No pictures have been released of either the interior of the refurbished 373 (they're only on the first still, and externally they've only reliveried the power car) or the new 374s interior. Neither are in public service as the first 373 refurb isn't complete and the 374s are testing still.

I can however say that the two will be very similar in terms of their interior, as you'd expect. There will be obvious small differences due to the fact they are different trains with different layouts, different seating etc. That said, Eurostar want a universal feel across their fleet of trains and so will want the interiors of both the refurbed 373s and 374s to be very similar.

Is there any update on the progress of refurbishment seems to have been a while since anything new came out?

No public updates that I have seen or could find. 3015 has had its power car in the new livery since at least November, but seemed to remain inside the workshop. It was then photographed outside the workshop in Hellemmes in Lille a week or so ago, which could be an indication that it's moved/moving elsewhere.

The company (CEIT) who were contracted to supply the majority of the interior components has gone bust, without anywhere near being able to supply all the components required so that has put 3015/16 trailers into the long grass, for the foreseeable future

Another set has gone to Hellemes, but this I understand is only having the power cars refurbished and the trailers only "tarted up".

What about the 374 that was delivered to Temple Mills.
Is it still there, or was it returned to Siemens after whatever exercise or testing had taken place?
If it's still there, has it seen the light of day out on HS1, running under its own power?

Running under own power within TMI only, being used for engineering training. Not allowed out to play on the HS1 until signalling upgrades have been made, but still no dates.

Seeing as this seems like the place to ask, does anybody know which class 374 it is that is stabled at the depot at Brussels (Forest?) at the moment?

If it shows signs of having had an unofficial livery removed from one side of it, it's probably 4001/2. Otherwise I haven't got a clue.

I have seen 4001/2 being dragged out of Forest at Brussels a little while ago, so I'd go with that, although I can't be 100% certain that's the one there at the moment.

4002 was stabled in the yards next to Leuven station (20-25 miles from Brussels) last month, could be the same one. Had the interior lights switched on at night, might have been some kind of test or inspection taking place.

Fair enough - Thanks for the help: I've been a bit curious as to how many were out of works at this stage and where they might be, not having realised until recently that there was more than that one complete set that can currently be found at Temple Mills.

Wikipedia seems to think 374001-374013 are completed. Given each are half sets, that would mean 6 full and 1 half set completed. (note, no official source for that, just good ol' Wiki, so take it with a pinch of salt).

Any new updates on the status of the class 373 refurbishments?

Are the 374s in service yet or are they still doing testing and/or driver training?

Funny you should mention it, the repainted 373 power car (3015) went through Ashford today. Think it's been brought back because they're getting a bit short of sets. Looks good in person but is with an old set of coaches so looks odd in that respect. Afraid I don't think the interior has changed so the refurb still seems stalled.

As far as I'm aware the 374 still hasn't left Temple Mills depot yet. It moves around within the depot now and again but that's it.

I saw it on the move not so long ago, coming back to Cheshunt from Stratford.. Got a bit excited, but clearly it didn't go anywhere.

As for the 373s, there's a couple of coaches with metal sealing up the doors. Are these ones being refurbished, and are the doors being modified in any way? Or are these just old carriages being used for parts on other trains?

Ha, I know the feeling. There's a lot that can't wait to see it out.

I wouldn't have a clue about the 373 coaches you mention, sorry. 3015/3016 ventured out into Brussels last month in their new power car colours, then did a 'commercial preview' a few weeks ago and returned sometime after then. Today's run was from Temple Mills to St Pancras then to Ashford and back. Means they may be out again some time soon and some pictures may pop up!

I have no idea what carriages they were, but there were a few that had what looked like stainless steel panels filling in the doors. It wasn't a full length train, so that's why I wonder if the doors were either removed for refurbishment work, or to replace others.

Have the 374s been out and about yet?

Video searches on YouTube give me nothing...

Not in the UK, they have been undergoing DC testing in Belguim but that's all I've seen outside Wildenwath

no, 374s are continental loading gauge so I've no idea why they'd be doing DC testing. I thought they'd been running on the HSL east of Brussels or was that Velaro-D?

I think that by DC running, they mean using the 3000V and 1500V DC networks on the continent, not the 750DC BR network.

Most of the Belgium electrified network is 3kV DC (only the HSL and a few others are 25kV AC)
