Well done! Just what the doctor ordered lol (Groan)

Ironically, about 5 years ago my BP was once 168/128 and the doctor was surprised I’d not had a stroke. Cat 3 hypertension I believe? Anyway, they put me on 10mg Lisinopril and it went down to normal levels. Since I quit my old job and started working on the railway at the beginning of the year I’ve now been able to come off my blood pressure tablets altogether and my BP at last reading was 124/81.

It just goes to show how stressful my old job was!

So.
Eventually got my blood pressure under control with medication.

Letter from Docs emailed yesterday and phone call and formal offer received this morning:)))

I’m on the course next Monday.

I’m so happy!!!
Great news! Really quick response from the TOC too! Did they basically hold the job for you? I see it was a mano role so assume there was only one or two vacancies anyway?

I really don’t know but they were in almost daily contact this week.
The Docs slowed things up getting the letter written, but once that was sent it was all systems go!

I’m starting at Reading.
The details have been a bit vague so far.
Waiting for the contract to arrive as HR said they’d put all the details in a letter that’ll come with it.

Glad it all worked out for you in the end.

My blood pressure was sky high towards the end of my time as a police officer, but I had a recent health check and its back to normal. Just goes to show how a few months out of the job has made a difference to my health. Many rail jobs come with a degree of stress but I believe there is healthy stress levels and unhealthy stress levels. Sadly I have to say that police world has damaged many good people's health over the years.

All the best with the new job though.
