Hi,

I gave fake details to an inspector on the train when I was issued a fine (I was afraid a letter would be sent to my address and my family would see it)
Afterwards I paid the fine via the procedure given to me by the inspector (I thought a letter would come in the post) will I get into trouble even though I have paid the fine?

If you've paid the amount requested (I assume this was a Penalty Fare Notice, as a fine can only be issued by a court) then that should be the end of the matter.

Of course, this isn't something that you'll want to be caught doing again now, so I'd recommend keeping a squeaky clean record from now on and paying the correct fare.
