180106 was certainly out last week. I'm looking forward to 104 reappearing, my red pen will be out for it! Annoyingly, it looks like it will be the last one to return.

Seems that the latest news on 180104 is that 1 of its Driving ends was heading along the M1 today (Not sure where too, just saw a picture of it on Facebook)

Also, Whilst 180106 Has been refurbished, i believe it hasn’t yet had the reliability modifications carried out up at Wolverton / BRUSH yet, so they'll be a while into service yet – Although I think there is now a refurbished 180 now down in Wolverton undergoing the modifications…

Unlikely to be any service before May because they will be mainly replacing 166s which currently run DOO between Pad and Oxford. The 180s will need guards on between Pad and Oxford so the guards diagrams will need altering, which probably won't happen until May.

September is when all the 180s should be in service. I expect there will be a gradual introduction of 180s into service over the Summer.

Where do you get this from?

The 180s will be phased into service between May and July. Kilmarnock is already on to the third set it is refreshing and repainting, 180108, with 103 and 106 released already.

All the extra stock, 180s and HST standards converted from buffet cars, will in use by September.

The two-car 165 for the 17.32 from Oxford works the 12.21 from Paddington to Great Malvern, the 15.22 from Malvern to didcot, then runs empty to Oxford to form the 17.32.
