Any idea why there have been between 15 and 20 First Manchester double decker buses heading North today? All empty, no destination indicated. Still seeing them in Lanarkshire!

The second phase of the Bee Network starts tomorrow. Maybe these buses were rendered surplus to requirements after peak services yesterday.

There'll be transfers going to scotland, yorkshire and the south over the next couple of days since stagecoach will take over oldham depot from tomorrow (24th).

That is interesting. I saw a group of six or seven ALX400s southbound on the M6 approaching Spaghetti (J6). If they were going to Bristol I would have expected them to swing onto the M5 at Junction 8 though.

Unless they were going to Ensign, in Essex?

If they were ALXs I doubt they'd be heading to Bristol. I think the only First depot that has closed top ALXs now is Ipswich and Lowestoft.
