I was answering the first of your questions "My questions are where is the bus stop and how are the buses turning around whilst the Malakoff is out of use?" :) As for turning.... run through town past the triangle (where the St Ives Bus Co congregate) and then turn round up there?

Okay, perhaps I might go there and have a look for myself.

On the Firstbus Enthusiasts Facebook group last week it was said 21 new green E400MMCs were coming in January and no one said otherwise there. If there was a change I would have thought someone would have said. It said 5 others (unspecified) were coming later, presumably single deckers.

Enviro 200MMC's were previously mentioned as well.

Retrobus on Flickr (who I think is an FK driver) said the new vehicles may not be arriving until Easter? Of the deckers, I think that 19 are expected to be green and 2 will be blue for the expanded Uni requirements (now that the U4 has been launched).
do you have a link to retrobus flicker page

There was an old Buses of Somerset liveried Trident on a westbound T1 service at Truro railway station late afternoon. Too dark to identify which one, as I was driving.

Yes return of retrobus is him. His original account was hacked and filled with porn!

His profile is set for all pics to friends only. I assume that’s people he’s chosen as friends settings

That's a shame. He took some of the best photos out there.

Is there room still available for the buses to turn whilst the work is going on or are other arrangements in place?

Just about! I was there on Saturday, what is happening is that there are staff there who stop the traffic on the main road the bus reverses into the mouth of the bus station under direction and then swings around and stop adjacent to the actual Malakoff. This is for the A17 and T2, 16 remains in the bus station entrance.

Unidentified University E400 MMC on the 11:40 93 service from Truro bus station to Newquay bus station, must be on the route to start getting the Newquay drivers familiar with the E400 MMCs before their introduction next year on the Newquay routes

I've not seen two blue MMCs both working the U4 in Penzance at the same time, and I didn't expect to witness it on a Sunday especially, but it happened shortly after 4 p.m today when an inbound service passed an outbound one on Chyandour Cliff. I can only imagine the inbound one was going straight back to depot after depositing any passengers.

Does anyone have an up to date fleet list for First Kernow they could post on this thread? Hard to keep track of all the recent loan vehicles and those being withdrawn. Also noticed quite a few of the later Tridents have gained the private number plates from the earlier Dennis ones.

A Tinner, Falmouth Uni bus, an old dart and a very manky Solo running the Exeter Rugby direct and Exeter-Polsloe rail replacements on Saturday. The Solo even rather sneakily used the High Street to reach Central.

It would appear that the Scania might be around a while as it now has First South West legals and carries fleet number 36800.

With regard to loan vehicles, the movements in and out of Ensign for November mention the following:-

On long term hire to First South West are the following B7TL’s: PN02XCF, PJ02PZE/PZK, V306/308/311/312/329/336/338LGC.

According to an official First fleetlist earlier this year FSW still had withdrawn 31820/1 in stock and I haven't seen anywhere they have been sold. Does anyone in Kernow know if they still exist?

Bit of a question but are these are covering for Dennis Tridents that were due for replacement though have suffered major unit failure?

Not sure to be honest, seems like the delivery date of the next batch of E400MMC’s has slipped somewhat.

The loan vehicles aren’t proving to be that successful. There are three of them at Camborne which haven’t been used for well over a week. One was towed in on delivery several weeks ago and has not moved since.

Saying that the ones that do work are usually based around Truro and Truro college services see them quite often.

That was what I was getting at. The Tridents are getting very frail and with delays to the new deliveries, more will fail. No point in spending thousands to repair Tridents that are due to go in a few months?

Personally I see more Volvo B7TL’s running than Tridents these days. They might not be very comfortable to ride on but they seem to be more durable than the Tridents.
Be interested to get the views of others.
