Volvo B7TL 30879 (L11 PCV) has surfaced at Camborne today with a new look! It's dark green with a yellow (or orange?) front and as far as I can tell is unbranded. I couldn't get a good look at it as it was being put in one of the engineering bays so the best views I could get were as follows:-

Yellow? Looks more orange? In fact, those colours remind me of....https://flic.kr/p/frZWMH - the initial post NBC Crosville scheme

Is this a new training livery?

I saw it as well, thank you for pointing that one out @richw !

By the look of the engine flap being open, I'm guessing it's still being fixed up etc

Was today the last of the season for the opentoppers? A couple of years ago they got a week's extension in view of the good weather.

Judging by the number of people about they should have kept the A3 going to a reduced twice daily service like is planned from 14th April 2019. Sad too there is only a weekday bus to Zennor and nothing on Saturdays.

Padstow service was still quite busy last week. September is traditionally when the older people holiday. It was certainly my experience on the A5, I arrived in padstow to a huge queue, all of which were pass holders.

It's the same here in Swanage with them queuing for the 50 back to Bournemouth

I hadn't realised the season ended that early this year. I hope, in view of the earlier start next year (a reversion to previous practice) that something might continue until near the end of September, although maybe at reduced frequency.

Mid September has been the usual time for reversion to the winter timetable in recent years, but I agree. There are still sufficient visitors around to provide a reduced service.

September is the most reliable of the late spring/summer/early autumn months for sunshine in West Cornwall, I would suggest. For instance, I had the collapse of a flat roof at the rear of my property one year, and during rebuilding it wasn't possible to keep it covered, so for over a month from early September we were exposed to the elements, and not a drop of rain fell in that time!

I recently acquired a rare pre-war Western National timetable for Cornwall, below is a summary of services. If anyone wants to see a specific timetable I can post a copy on here.

Observations this morning:-

Tinner E400MMC 33455 on service 18C.
Uni E400MMC 33474 on service T1.
Mousehole Solo 53704 on service 46.
Uni E400MMC’s 33479, 33473 & 33477 all parked at Camborne the latter looked like it had been towed in. Also here was E400 33422.
Trident 33170 has a new rear advert for Truro and Penrith College.
Carcass of Volvo B7TL 30874 taken away by recovery wagon. Think it was Winkleigh bound.
