Apologies if mentioned already but some more re registrations to mention:
Scania YN54 NYU (23313) has become MIG3863
Scania YN06CGZ (23325) has become MIG3864

Also Scania MIG3865 (23402) has received a repaint into Truronian livery, not sure if correct though

One of the Mousehole liveried buses (---04) was making VERY heavy weather up M J Street this p.m. - a Go Cornwall bus on the 16 going the other way had flashed him through and had to wait ages. The driver of the 16 might have thought it deliberate, but as soon as he heard it he'd have been disabused of that notion. The M6 driver saw me sitting on a bench looking and gave me a cheery wave along with raised eyebrows. A little later another of the pink buses appeared, and at about 5.35 p.m. a Solo in a livery unknown to me came out of the bus station empty with a Park and Ride destination.
Wonder if it made up Lidden Road on return!

It’s currently at Qualiti Conversions in Botley for paint, removal of toilet and increase in seating capacity.

I've just read in Route One magazine that social distancing restrictions on buses are being eased from Monday, with all forward-facing seats being allowed to be occupied. Rearward and sideways seats and standing will still not be allowed. So while not complete removal of social distancing, it's a huge uplift in available capacity.

Clearly a significant change which I guess could mean most of the MMCs to return quicker than previously planned and most of the loan fleet to be disposed of.
According to communication to drivers, sideways will be allowed, just not rearwards or standing

It actually says standing is allowed, but the vehicle capacity will be the number of seats excluding rear facing. So a passenger may choose to stand next to a seat if they wish to.

A few odd people seem to do this already. Sitting too much effort? Lol.

Some of the new timetables have appeared on the First website, under the "forthcoming" tab:

Amazed that with only 3 days to go until these new services start that there are no announcements or advertising on social media or the company website regarding these apart from just the timetables?

Indeed. While it has been said that the tourist services are having a deliberately soft launch the same can't be said for all the local services that are changing. The map and timetable book on the website date from last year.

They’ve been on Traveline for weeks and on the forthcoming timetables tab for a while. However, for a couple of complicated technical issues related to the two existing websites being linked to the new ABB website and some late to-ing and fro-ing with statutory consultees the wider update had only just been able to be signed off

Appreciate the reply and thanks. Still saying 16th for ALL services , presume that's a glitch as you previously stated Falmouth and Exeter tours starting slightly later on the 29th?

13MAY

Changes to routes and timetables from 16th May 2021

We’re introducing several new services and running more buses on many routes from Sunday 16 May 2021.
TImetables can be viewed here >>>

The following routes are changing number, please see the new route for details of the change:

Atlantic Coaster is the new name for the A4 and A5 routes. It will run along the coast between St Ives, Hayle, St Agnes, Perranporth, Newquay, Watergate Bay, St Merryn and Padstow. The route remains the same except in Newquay, where buses for St Ives and Newquay will serve Treloggan Road and Newquay Zoo in both directions.
Daytripper is a new network of routes linking mid-Cornwall and the Eden Project (see below for more details). This includes the D5 which runs up to hourly between St Austell rail station, Carclaze, Trethurgy and the Eden Project.

L1 will run more frequently between Helston and Lizard village. The route will change in Helston – buses will start from Coinagehall Street opposite The Blue Anchor and travel uphill to serve Tesco and Sainsbury’s before heading to Lizard. Towards Helston, buses run direct from Sainsbury’s to Coinagehall Street opposite The Blue Anchor via Meneage Road and Whitehill Terrace. The route will also change as it approaches Lizard – buses will serve Kuggar towards Lizard and you’re able to travel via Lizard to reach Helston. Great bits of marketing as you'd expect.

Mind you, spotted one thing that escaped the proof reader.... :D
Very impressive leaflets. So if I'm correct it's £15 on all services Kernow run (including Daytripper, Falmouth and Lizard ones) for the day still but if you only want the Lizard ones it £12, Falmouth Tour it's £8 and Daytripper is £10?

Is there any fares info available for Dartmoor Explorer anywhere? Note in one of the leaflets it shows as open top service on Dartmoor

No it doesnt. It says closed top specifically and we have already had that confirmed and even the actual buses running it.

No I think that is a typo in Atlantic coaster leaflet . If you read the other routes to try bit it says open top Dartmoor Explorer. I know it isn't but an guessing that is the typo not spotted by proof readers

32200 seems to have had some issues today, it’s in Camborne having been brought in by Jose Recovery. Bustimes show it on a A1 working at lunchtime today.

Does anyone know will the two open top Lizard deckers run on the L1 or L5?

Also I know one of the new deckers has arrived but has the other one?
