I remember when Western Greyhound ran the 547 from Newquay to St.Ives every two hours a couple of times I could not get on at Hayle for Portreath as it was full.

Not sure if its been mentioned already somewhere. But the A4 will seemingly be getting a frequency increase this year, with some journeys duplicated. With the early journey from Portreath that ran in 2017 also returning.
Looks like a positive change. In previous years when I've used the journeys that ran, they've been very busy and the once even left loads of people behind at Hayle Holiday Park, because there was no more room on the double decker.

5 journeys this year from Perranporth and Portreath to St Ives, up from 2 in 2018. Also 7 journeys from St Ives to Hayle. Plus an additional 2 trips from Newquay at 13:30 and 15:30.

Very pleasing to see them increasing the A4 - very positive.

Traveline have omitted the date codes. There will be a restricted service between Hayle Towans and St Ives from Easter. The morning journey from Newquay to St Ives and afternoon back will start on 26 May. The morning journey from St Ives to Newquay and afternoon back will run in July and August. Still better than in recent years.

42871,72,76 along with 41490,43878,23318 & 23316 are at Dan Shears Winkleigh, 42873 & 42875 are currently withdrawn awaiting transfer to Winkleigh. 42874 is still in service.

FK Kernow Behind the Scenes FB page reports that further Geminis are due in the next 12 months to upgrade the fleet. Don't therefore expect many, if any, more Tridents to be repainted.

Yeovil has recently taken over the Stode College (Street) 77 duplicate from Taunton depot, requiring an extra Dart.
Currently Yeovil has 8 Solos. 50466/67, 53054-57, 53151 and 53209. Requirement for 8, 3 on 51(4th turn is a Dart which does Yeovil College 58a), 3 on 53 and 2 on 40. So nothing spare.

I can't give you a link (technologically challenged!) but I think you could get on to the EBay page where he is selling some tyres as the only item he has currently for sale.
If you go into the general Ebay site. Under 'search for anything' enter 275 80 22.5 tyres. This brings up about 10 entries and Dan Shears' tyres are about the fifth entry shown as pre-owned for sale at £250. Dan is known as Transportman75 on EBay.

There are currently no buses shown as for sale with Dan but at least it would get you on to his page for future reference. Sorry this is long winded but hopefully maybe some use to you.

42942 entered service this week after a week of commissioning, but none of the Solos have been serviced yet.
42860 and 42924 are both Taunton based but do come on loan to Yeovil occasionally. Today 44079 has been in Yeovil working the Yeovil 54 duty.
