You can view your tap-on tap-off history here:I have started using the tap-on, tap-off system in Doncaster. My fare is £2.50. So far, two tap offs have been successful and two have not. In the first case the driver shrugged his shoulders and in the second he suggested I tap out on his ticket machine. Anybody else had problems?
We will be making some minor amendments to our 385 and HC1 service from 23rd February to increase journeys and provide better links.
Sunday 23rd February: From Sunday, the three trips on the 385 service between Moorlands Prison and Barnby Dun, will become two trips between Moorlands Prison and Doncaster.
Monday 24th February: From Monday the 355/356 will be running a new HC1 service in the morning to Harrison College at 0845, and a 1352 trip with the 355, which will divert via the collage during the inbound trip.
There's only a finite number of double deckers and they need to be spread around across the network to best suit demand at different times of the day, including sometimes on some quieter routes which then go to work school services in the morning and afternoon - which obviously need to be deckers.Someone really needs to tell the good folks at Olive Grove that a Wright Streetlite is not an appropriate vehicle for the 52, at least not at busier times. It invariably gets completely packed, which, as well as bring uncomfortable, causes it to lose time at every stop as alighting passengers shuffle around. Then the one behind, almost always a Stagecoach Enviro 400, catches up and the supposed 7/8 min frequency goes completely out the window.
Indeed. Worth noting that not all of those are out every day. On Monday it was the Wrightbus and the BYD; yesterday the BYD, the Volvo and the Yutong; today it seems to just be the Wrightbus and the Volvo although perhaps the other two will come out later. The next round of EV trials on the 51 between Lodge Moor & Charnock via Sheffield Centre has started this week. The vehicles involved are:
A Wright StreetDeck Electroliner on loan from Leeds.
A BYD dual door in red
A Volvo BZL dual door in red
A Yutong double decker which had previously made an appearance in Sheffield with Stagecoach making appearances on 1 & 88.
Noticed a few of the Ex Badgerline liveried Streetdecks on site at Potteries Adderly Green depot this morning.
35686 & 688 MF22SYX/SYZ both now in new corporate livery
35684 & 676 MF22SYV/SYH both in badgerline livery. It's not clear if 676 is for FSY, can anyone confirm?
Also on site partially prepped for paint is 69391 HY09AOV. Is this going as a trainer? Seems a bit too old for repaint for service. But with First, who knows!
I got a couple of shots. Linked below.

I get the impression that there may be timetable changes in Sheffield and Doncaster because travel South Yorkshire website states that there are service changes coming on the 28th of April and first’s website seems to allude to timetable changes under the timetable section
Spot on, it's now been painted into Ultraviolet. See image below. 35684 still waiting it's turn, and has been joined by 63410.69391 into repaint for new livery, continuing in passenger carrying duties

the entire batch repainted but none of them actually finished, months after painting they don't have the stripes added, makes you wonder how much they value the new image63410 is the last of the ex Eclipse livery one of the SV22 batch at Olive Grove

I was in Sheffield over the weekend and it was notable how shabby much of the fleet looked (although Stagecoach and TM Travel weren't much better). As noted, many repaints still haven't been finished, while the multitude of liveries is doing nothing for the image of buses in the city.
That said, the age profile of the fleet is better than it was, but still not great.
