Has anything old gone as a result? Or just additional buses for all these changes

I don't think that many are needed anyway, there's no increase for the 82 as in the time currently sat at Chipping Sodbury it gets up to Wotton and back, think the 83 is an extra bus, the 87 is 2, and the 88 looks to be the same bus off peak but 2 at peak.

Hi There,
Noted at Taunton today were 34092/098 at Bus Station and 34219 at the Depot, 3 ex Manchester area Olympians presumed en route [lay-over] for Devon/Cornwall operations.
Also 66745 has returned here in green livery minus fleetnumbers and vinyls at the moment.
Cheers, Mike Russell [henairs]

Anyone know where these Olympian's are? I have not seen them in Cornwall yet.

Saw 66729 on the 46 earlier going along Westfield Lane! Haven't seen any buses go down there since the X73 used to go down there a few years back! Also haven't seen 66729 on the 46 anyway; this is usually on the 309.

Think that's largely correct though I though that the 81-3 was probably a couple extra whilst I imagine the 87 is only one extra - DISCLAIMER: Not worked it out so just gut feeling ;) Does the extension to Mangotsfield affect the 7's PVR?

ps Loving the avatar. Badgers and flags era! What next......Bayline?

Interesting to observe 47563 out on the 49 this afternoon

Is 47563 a Lawrence Hill bus then?

Really not a good evening for the 70/71 today. 42115 left UWE on the 70 at about 1725, which is already bad enlugh for the peak hours, then there was no 70 OR 71 until 1750. 69459 arrived on the 72 which was by this point absolutely rammed upon departure. 42737 (even worse!) then turned up on another 70, then 32332 on the 71 just turned to Not In Service!

Not great that they were all singles on the route, they're just too small for such services.

What happened to First putting out deckers on the UWE routes? Didn't last long.

I travelled into Bristol on 32006 on Monday afternoon on the X46. It was meant to depart my stop in Yate at around 1320 but instead it arrived closer to 1350. I had an appointment to get to so didn't see it going on the 46. I was still on the 46 later on in the day when I saw it again in Yate.

Interestingly the 1417 and 1617 departures from Bristol to Yate on the X46 were worked by an Express Yourself liveried dart, like the sort normally on the 46. I'm guessing that due to the diversions, everything had to be swapped around.

I've been surprised at the number of people using the X49 to travel from Bristol to Yate. Certainly more than when Wessex were running it as the 689.
I wonder if everyone who uses it is aware of how long it takes to reach Yate when they board? My dad ended up on this service the other day and was not very pleased at how long the journey took.

That depends on where you live in Yate. The X46 is diverted as well.

I travelled on the 1517 X46 from Bristol today. It was only 6 minutes late arriving at my stop in north Yate. Later journeys will probably be subject to much longer delays though.

Interesting to see that 32006 which was on the X46 this morning has found its way onto the 1447 46 departure from the bus station. Unfortunately it left about 20 minutes late so there'll be a lot of unhappy passengers by the time this bus has negotiated the diversion several times.

No. I travelled on the 1517 X46 from the bus station today which is also diverted. The first stop was "The Crown" at Hambrook though it took a little longer to get there than usual. ;)

Only northbound. Southbound journeys are operating as normal.

I really think at the moment First are running a make do service because of the temple gate roadworks, I think that's why Hengrove buses have been on Lawrence Hill routes ect.

Nice to see streetlites are displacing old stuff.

Ah I see, didn't know this was the case.

I shall have to look out for some interesting workings tomorrow when I'm out and about (pending it doesn't take about two hours to get anywhere!)

On a slightly more concerning note, I haven't seen my lucky Gemini (37760) for AGES! I saw it on the 43 in the centre about a fortnight ago but I haven't seen it since! Getting quite concerned! :o

According to Steve White's site, 32006/7/291 have noẃ been swapped with 66162/7/78. So MH have lost three double deckers.

On what routes do MH use double deckers apart from X46, 47 and X47?

Apart from the X7 (obviously), can't think what else MH use deckers on.

Also see ex Berkshire Dart 40956 didn't last long at HE. Delicensed already!

The 47 and X47 use Deckers. Whenever I've seen a 47 or X47 in Bristol, it's always been a decker. I expect the deckers have been moved out of MH so new stuff will enter service in MH - probably on 46 & X46 and possibly 309/310 (what will be 78/79).

Interesting moves in Wells. 41333, 41334 and 41335 are now there. 46603 has definitely gone and I think even 41144 has finally gone. The 161 is looking much better now.

48217 was also parked up in the depot today. I knew that would happen. Any crap they have going tends to head to Wells or Devon and Cornwall. Grrrr.

I'd like to think that 48217 is being used for spare parts, if not, hopefully it will replace the dreaded 66100.

Just looking at those changes on Steve White's website. Seems quite interesting. They seem to be bunching all the B10s into MH (probably to replace, hence the reason why I said MH would get new buses) and bunching all the 320** range in LH (the only other one not in LH is 32001 in Weston) - could this be to replace these as well. LH only have 7 B10s now. It would be nice to see them swap these B10s for either Darts or odd deckers from MH. The depots would look much better then, but what's the likelihood of that happening!

46264 - has this gone or is it still going?

Or the fact that the City services need deckers and an easy way to get them is move 3 across from MH. Not that it makes much difference as LH and MH buses appear on the others routes frequently anyway.

That's very interesting news about the X6. What's Weston getting in return. If the X6 is moving, does it mean that Bristol finally have E400s?

Strange, I always really thought X6 as a Bristol service. I still don't know how it is operated at the moment. Anyone care to shed some light?

More importantly, having lost the W5 and Crosville competing on the 103, what about the depots' prospects?

Bit odd seeing as Paul Matthews said about how short of drivers they were in Bristol and the lack of depot space
