Depending on who you talked to yesterday at the bus depot the MPD Dart's are or are not being returned to service. 67600 which was seen on the depot is here on trial apparently? Does anyone know the identity of the single deck bus inside the depot with a damaged windscreen?

Olympian 34138 was glimpsed inside and the Olympian at the bus station compound was reported to be 34051. Dart 42522 was towed away before 9am.

54602 also here apparently stored with parts missing.

Been reported that one of the MPDs is already back in service.

67600 is reportedly on loan along with Primo 57000 and the odd other vehicle to cover for the increased PVR until "new" arrivals and the MPDs are in service

Pretty ungenerous of FWoE to send odds and sods like 57000 and 67600 as temporary cover; means type training BoS drivers/engineers etc. Surely it would have been better to send types BoS already had (eg the Solo that sits at Wells doing nothing most of the time................)

Ahem.... Might be a case of sending over the ones that won't be missed ;)

Just seen 67600 on 77 coming in - 10 mins late

Is that the first time it's been to Wells?

Absolutely; Bath and Weston being given choice over what to send. I realise beggars cant be choosers but as a shareholder (in a small way) I would expect common sense to prevail (as per my previous post) for the overall FG good.

Surely Bath has more chance of keeping the Primo on the road than BoS given they know all about its peculiarities.............

I do agree with you and hey, I may be being very unkind!

Couple of interesting observations in Bristol include 37619 on the 6/7, 42898 on the 43/45, 47438 on the A1 and 66330 on the 2.

Other than that, the usual plethora of Geminis, ALX400s, Enviro 400s and Streetdecks!

Vehicles on 54/55/77 circuit 1100-1700 today.
MPD 43821.
B6 BLE 48271.
B7L 61594, 66339.
B7RLE 66745 69018.
B10BLE 62183, 62192, 62245.
E300 67600.

Timekeeping not too bad, although 66339 1108 54 from Yeovil 14 late start.
61594 1314 54 from Taunton 24 late at Langport.
62183 1514 54 from Taunton 23 late at Langport.
1514 54 should have been the Enviro 300 but 62183 which was 1408 54 from Yeovil due Taunton 1522 did it.

Not forgetting that 67600 was 10 mins late into Wells on 77 (got in at 13.05).

A brilliant bus allocation, certainly. Makes 319 look good :)

Yes but despite all your angst, we're actually happy with the short term loans, so no need for you all to worry on our behalf thanks.

Got to remember that those short term loans are nearly the youngest vehicles in BoS. That's the reason why they're happy! Think we should have sent a few E200s or B7ls though. Would have made more sense and i'm sure passengers in WoE would be thankful for their departure.

I suspect they're looking at if the Adderley Green E300s can go to BoS?

Suspect that they're happy to have fleet to cover the work. The Primo hasn't exactly been prolific for days in service and the type hasn't got a great reputation. Maybe Bath have got it sorted? It was, of course, an FSW bus before (ex Truronian).

As for e300s, FSW will have to confirm or not what may happen but 67600 could just be a loan with nothing more to be read into it.

I noticed a double decker on the 5 today going through Stokes Croft at about 3:20pm. I think it might have been a Alx400.

67600 is far too good a vehicle for BoS, comfortable seats and goes well. Expect when 62238/42 are released to traffic it will return to WM.

Looks like there will not be any Tridents on 54/55/77 circuit? The 22 and 30 must be full of them today.

Isn't the first 54 to Yeovil and then back to Taunton a Trident? I thought I saw in the timetables a 54 which goes to Yeovil and then straight back to Taunton first thing in the morning, which then goes onto Somerset College.

No need for deckers during the day though - hardly anyone using before it changed :)

A friend noted 32935 in Yeovil today so quite likely the college duty you mention Tom. Cheers, Mike R

Some observations in Bath this afternoon

32931 on 14, 42895 (ex MH) on 379, 42899 (ex MH) on 10, 42968 on 15 (usually Trident operated) 53401 on 174, 60914 (ex Wells) on 5, 66354 on 319 (had been at Wells?)
Better showing of bigger buses on 10 42899, 42903 and 42925 but still 2 Solos 53806/14.
Only saw 2 (42895/99) out of the 5 Darts transferred from MH.

Regarding Solos, out of the 53806-20 series only 809 and 820 not seen in service. However none of 50318,53102/3 or 53204 seen-possibly replaced by the MH Darts?

B10ble 62242 is now in service from Taunton,

It was on 1308 54 from Yeovil, 14 late start.

Prize for the first 54 or 77 to arrive on time into Yeovil this week goes to 69018 on 1245 from Wells today.

Many of the drivers I have spoken to are not impressed with 4 hours 38 minutes driving without a break on the 54/55/77 circuit. :(

We have too many solos in WoE. Wonder where they will go? Could we see new services in September for them?

Some interesting workings there too. So pleased to see that darts are back on 379 - that didn't take long. Think Dan said he saw a Dart still in Bristol - maybe when they fully transfer over we'll see some solos gone.

What about the 25 minute wait at Wells on each circuit. Does that not count as a break?

What are passenger numbers like? I've only seen the 8.19 55, 8.45 77, 13.19 55, 13.45 77 and a couple in the evening and all of them have about 0-3 passengers.

The odd Dart has continued to appear on the 178/379 amongst various B7s (and the odd e200) over recent months.

I don't think we'll see new services if only because of the shortage of drivers. I did wonder if a) any spare Solos might head to WM and use them on the 3 or b) they'll be sent elsewhere in the group.

32003 out on the 20 in Weston today in full uni branding.

Do we know specifically what deckers have been sent down to Weston for 20? Is it just the Bath Uni ones or is there Bristol stuff too?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Might want to look at Steve Whites page

Looks like 60912 has gone to Weston (it went today)
60913 in Bath?
60914 in Bath
32003 in Weston
42895/7/9 to Bath

Best news is that Bath have got rid of the cr*p solos! 50318, 53102/3, 53204 all withdrawn - I assume heading elsewhere - Kernow?

That means that Bath have one batch of solos - makes me suspicious they might be replaced next year?

I expect 53401 to come off 174 soon too. 2 B7s were out on 376 today (43/47) - think a Streetdeck is VOR, but can't tell which one, as I think I've seen all of them over the last few days.

Why are they cr@p Solos? 53204 is actually pretty decent! Goes well!

I don't get the feeling that First are really into buying Solos. I think Bath's ones will soldier on a bit longer.

Little bit surprised that a couple of B7Ls are now at Weston; back there after a gap of several years :)
