Just noticed on the arrivals board for London Euston a delayed arrival from Birmingham New St & Crewe.

Nothing unusual about that except it was the 11.33 from Crewe & 12.33 from New St (which started International today) which both combine at & depart Northampton 13.35. Now this is where it gets interesting & very fast. Calling points are then...

13.36 Milton Keynes Central
13.38 Watford junction
13.40 London Euston.

Who needs tilt??

Knowing the WCML at times, it probably arrived at MKC on Wednesday, WFJ on Thursday, and EUS today :)

It was a farce this morning. Bridge strike at Kings Langley meant a normal 8-minute 7 mile hop took over 3 hours.

I too was caught up in that this morning. 0846 off Euston 15 minutes late leaving, then another hour to get to Watford. Train get terminated at Northampton so switched at Milton Keynes for the Virgin service :D
