Nice shots Craig :)

I hope pride of the fleet Black Prince gets her tender fully painted soon, it looks rather boring all black.

Cheers Daniel :)

Black Prince's tender does look rather boring. Doesn't look quite right to me either, maybe a red strip at the bottom like on the old tender would do the trick

Excellent photos & video, Craig.

Cheers Jon :)

A few shots from today taken at Balcombe and Three Bridges featuring 73107 + 73141 (which has been named Ron Westwood/David Gay), 37667 on a Stoneblower drag and 442414.

Cheers James. When I recieved that text from you about the WSMR skip passing Clapham I thought WTF! As the day went on, and after hearing about an Eastleigh-Crewe stock move, I thought it was the two were connected.

Hope you get better soon and look forward to seeing your shots. Was nice to see you again, albeit brief

Updated my site with a few shots from today of 37688/601 on a stoneblower drag at Headcorn and 37609/605 on a flask working at Lydd Town

When I first saw it I thought oh 67029 is on a 442 move but then it got closer it was 67015 so I thought it was on a 442 move , but it was not until later in the day someone said there was a coach movement from Eastleigh-Crewe which I know thats where Riviera trains have some stock and thought that be it as Riviera trains & DB get on very well :D

Anyway here is my shots from the day enjoy, http://james-bartlett.fotopic.net/c1659568.html I hope my wrexham skip shot will get veiws like my other one.

Went to the North Norfolk Railway yesterday for their 'That's Yer Lot' steam gala, which was commemorating 50 years since the closure of the Midland & Great Northern Railway and celebrating 50 years of the Midland & Great Northern Railway Society.

Eight locos were in steam, five visiting and three residents. The locos were:

BR Standard 2MT 78019, BR Standard 4MT 76079, BR/LNER B1 1306 "Mayflower", Ex LMS 4F 44422, L&Y Class 27 No 1300, WD 2-10-0 90775, Ex LNER N7/L77 69621 and Ex LNER J15/GER Y14 65462.

Best thing to do James, is check the Battle of Britain Locomotive Society website for any information regarding 34081. There's a big red box on the home page with tells a bit about its condition. If you join the BoBLS, you'll help get 34081 running again!

I did indeed see the two 47s. Like I already said to you, I've heard that 47s will work the new steel train to/from Dollands Moor and also 56s will work it. Shame it'll be dark for this new working though when it gets down here.

Nice shots Craig :) Thought I saw you up at Sheringham but I wasn't sure.

34081 needs a 10 yearly overhaul before it can run again. It was taken out of service nearly a year ago.

Well they were hoping to get 34081 fixed and have an extensionon on her so that they could run her one last time before the overhaul .

Its a shame overhauls are not like the old days,

James
