They said to me back in Oct that there was one in Feb and then one in May. I think it looks like a mix for Feb and (hopefully) Crewe & Birmingham in May.

I had my Stage 2 today and the HR girl said there was training at Crewe, Ipswich and wherever else they can arrange courses for....and the DM implied it’s a large recruitment drive they are doing, one that doesn’t come round to often.

I’ve heard around 60 drivers, I think the internal issues will be having enough driver mentors/trainers.

60 drivers that doesn't sound a lot but when you have limited training spaces and everything takes a long time then it can seem a life time when waiting your turn.
I was told my training starts on 7th Jan.
Im down for a shunter driver though not mainline. Less training and quicker on the job. Cannot wait. :)

The driver manager for my DMI said that they were trying to source driver mentors from across the organisation and not just at the depots people have applied for, meaning there may be a requirement to travel and lodge away whilst undertaking training hours.

Where are you applying for? And HH or IM?

Sitting in limbo mate. In one breath, getting impatient but in the next thankful for the extra time to save for the training period lol!!!
Yeah the saving part for me in theory, problem is Christmas, a holiday and partners birthday all in the next 6 weeks! Saving is not an option lol

Someone’s just mentioned redundancies in the main FL thread which doesn’t sound great!
