I've been checking fares for a trip up to Norwich to do the 37s and 68s.
I was surprised that I couldn't get a FC advance Bristol-Norwich. Further investigation revealed that it was the Liv Street-Norwich section causing the problem. No FC advances are available LST-NRW on any date at any time.
What has happened? Have GA stopped doing FC advances altogether?

edit - using NRE, now going to try via other methods.

Unless in the last couple of weeks then no they are still supposedly available even up to the evening before travel. A fiend of mine got a LST to NRW 1st Advance the afternoon before travel less than 2 weeks ago. Maybe a temporary thing.

Strange, I've just tried the GW site and that's offering 15.50 FC single LST-NRW. May be just an issue with the NRE site.

I think it's just a problem with the National Rail Enquiries website. I can see 1st Class advances for £52.10 on other sites, travelling on Wednesday 14th December, departing Bristol 13:30 or 13:40 and arriving Norwich 18:22.

NRE haven't had them for well over a year now. I've often tried to get my HPQ - NRW ticket on a FC advance on the 07:50 in the morning changing at Ipswich, but can usually buy them through the Greater Anglia (or what was Abellio Greater Anglia) site, as well as other TOC's. I normally buy them through Virgin to be fair just to top up the Nectar Points. ;)

First Advances are still available on GA routes, but have been reduced on the LST-NRW route following conversion of the buffet to standard seating leaving the ridiculous situation of full and standing first class with seats in standard (most opted to sit with the plebs and have the difference back). Probably doesn't apply to this situation but good for general notice.
