I loved that show especially the science bit. Jack Hargreaves was the presenter but Fred Dinage and also John Miller but I forgot the name of the female also on when I watched Bunty ?? someone. Others also presented but I really have forgotten their names.

You are spot on with the presenters - it was Bunty James that you were thinking of - others that appeared in the 60s and 70s were

Dr Tom Gaskell - jill Graham and marian Davies

The next How! is yours to ask

I'd guess that Alaska and Hawaii are not the answer, so only 48 states to go!

Can I guess Oklahoma and Ohio?

I suspect one of them will be Tennessee, as it runs along the top of Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia so there could be 5 states bordering its other three sides.

The other maybe Pennsylvania as it’s biggish?

Thank you. May I ask:

In chaos theory, the ‘butterfly effect’ refers to the possibility that a small event in one period of time may have large consequences at a later date.

The sci-fi author Ray Bradbury used this as the basis of a famous short story in which a time traveller goes on a safari to the past, strays off the permitted path and steps on a butterfly.

What was the main (and topical) change he noticed when he returned from his journey? And for a bonus point, what was the title of the story?

The main change was that a fascist candidate won an election. The book was called A Clap Of Thunder or similar, can’t remember exactly its over 25 years since I read it. I do remember that I bought the book in a lovely second hand bookshop up in Old Town in Swindon - can I have a bonus point for that?!?

You are correct! The story was titled 'A Sound of Thunder' and the main effect was a different result in the US Presidential Election.

An extra bonus point for shopping in Swindon Old Town. The floor is yours . . . provided you have not stepped on a butterfly recently.

Yep. Rod and Todd Flanders, the Simpsons’ next door neighbours

Thanks- I couldn't remember the elder brother's name ;).

What is the next name in sequence:
Monica, Erica, Rita, Tina, Sandra, Mary, .....

I think it’s from that really irritating song from a few years ago, where it keeps saying “a little bit of....” followed by women’s names. I’m pretty sure the first one is Monica but less sure about the others. No idea what the song’s called or who sang it though. I’m probably about 30 years outside the target market

Can't argue with that! Yes, it's Mambo No5 by Lou Bega:

A little bit of Monica in my life
A little bit of Erica by my side
A little bit of Rita is all I need
A little bit of Tina is what I see
A little bit of Sandra in the sun
A little bit of Mary all night long
A little bit of Jessica, here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man

Sorry for dragging it up again. I'm sure the tune is now going round and round in your head . Please take the floor.

When was the last time a premier league team started a game with the players wearing shirt numbers 1 to 11, and why?

I'm thinking that there was an occasion recently when either there was a colour clash or the shirts had gone missing, and they had to borrow a local team's shirts, but I can't recall who or when.

That’s not the answer i had in mind. What I believe to be the most recent instance was certainly a deliberate thing

Wild guess - didn't manchester City play United in memory of the Munich disaster with normal shirt numbers some years ago ?

Pretty much spot on. 50th anniversary in February 2008. United wore An old style kit 1 to 11 (including Nani wearing an incongruous number 6) and no sponsor’s name, but City wore their normal numbers. City beat them 2-1.
