Names of high schools in US TV culture? Although I guess it would be no real surprise to have schools named after former US presidents.
Whiskeys by any chance?
Are they all National Parks or the names of particular features in National Parks?
Sporting events?

None of them I've afraid.
Clue, they are types but some 'models' belong to same 'types' so to speak.
It's really not a helpful clue so I'll expand- these are 4 different types (of which I can find) :
Jimmy (Carter)
JFK (well.. obvious)
(Andrew) Jackson
Ronald (Reagan)

Are they presidents either known by an informal first name (Jimmy), by initials (JFK), by their surname, or by their full first name? Are these the four types, of which your examples in your question relate to your third group (surname)?

Airport names.

None of those, I'm afraid.
I think my original clue should have said models rather than types.
Without confusing matters they are Presidents.
I would say about 40 years ago I had a President Zachary T, my last was a President Jackson around 1987 I think.

Are they Presidents but not of USA?

Clue time:
President manufactured them.
First imported from the US to Europe in 1976. (Clue)
US arm went belly up or something around 1981, a French company took over using the President name which they had rights to.
After doing a bit of research, about 4 years ago they started exporting back to the US and have offices over there now.
