Thanks, but I don't really think that my answers should be considered. They were as a result of some research, which wasn't even based on a hunch which I had to check. So, I'll withdraw here and let the others have a run at it.
No you got right Windsor Davies and John Alderton at the beginning of this quiz, I didnt add those you just gave me, so if you want
to guess then you legally ok to do so. Sorry I should have said earlier, my fault and I apologise for that.

Excuse me from the equation too as a) I have no idea and b) wouldn't even have a decent question to pose at the moment.

@Spamcan81, over to you if I'm not mistaken.

Scrap that last line.

In the absence of another question, can I take the floor?

In 1935, Mr Beere became the first person to do what?

Sorry but we were in a tie break question situation at the end of the previous round and we were waiting for the other person to
make a guess at the tie break question. We will have to resolve this after someone gets your question correct.

Pass a driving test?

Correct. You could have left a decent interval before getting the question right . However, I seem to have interrupted a tie-break question, so I can't invite you to take the floor.

As it’d been over 24 hours since the last question I think the floor is then open isn’t it?

I understand what you are saying and would agree with you if the last question had been fully answered and the next person had failed
to ask a question within the 24hours, however in this case, 3 people had tied with the same amount of correct answers, so a tie break
question had been asked and we were awaiting the last of those people to make a guess, I had sent a personal message to this person
to let them know what was required.

I dont want to drag this out any further, I have sent a personal message to the other joint winner but have had no response after 48hrs,
so I am declaring that @EbbwJunction1 is the winner and invite them to ask the next question please.

The tie break question answer was 372 episodes of Heartbeat.

Thanks you ... as many as that, hey?

Moving on: There are nine Grade 1 Listed Railway and Underground Stations in England. Can you name them in the categories as split below?

1. Two closed stations
2. Six open stations
3. One Underground station.

Huddersfield, King’s Cross and Paddington for category 2?

Is Liverpool Lime Street another open one?
Thanks, but no.
Manchester Central? The old L&M station in Manchester?
Thanks - not the former, but the latter ... but I have to give this one to Trackman, because he got the name right.
Manchester Liverpool Road?
Yes, thanks.

So far, that's six out of nine. One closed station, one open station and the underground station are to be found. I'll leave this for a while and give some clues later if necessary.

Baker Street underground, or Piccadilly Circus?

LU: Arnos Grove?
Edit: or New Southgate?
Thanks, but none of those, I'm afraid.

Piccadilly Circus is probably the nearest, but it's not possible to travel directly between the two. The closed station is due to reopen sometime in the future, and the currently open station has heavy and light rail services, albeit in distinctly separate places.

Uxbridge?
Thanks, but bo.
South Ruislip? South Kensington?
..
I go two right earlier of four guessed, but which two?
Thanks - but neither of these is correct; your previous two correct answers were London St Pancras and Bristol Temple Meads.
St James’s Park?
Correct, well done!
Earls Court?
No, sorry.

So, that's it .... Tom Maddox got four correct answers out of nine, so he inherits the powers under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. Well done!
