Hello everyone, on an 11-15 zip card I noticed that I'd be getting capped below the caps on the tfl website but I don't understand why. Can anybody help?
The journey is fully national rail and direct. Only tap in and tap out. 8-)8-)
Thanks

Hi!

The peak single fare in the afternoon is being capped by the off-peak cap of £1.90. The off-peak cap applies to all travel after 0930, even during the afternoon peak from 1600-1900.

Hi, thanks for this response. So on the return journey it is trying to pay £2.40 but is being limited by the off peak cap of £1.90? Would that mean that any journey after (in zones 3-6) would be free for the rest of the day?

Yes it would. In fact it would be free throughout zones 1-9 because the off-peak cap is a flat rate for 11-15 zip card holders. It's twice the 95p off-peak single on National Rail within zones 1-6.
