Given strange advice by TPE

...TPE got back to me to say that their CS Advisor was assuming I had split tickets for my journey, even though I had made that perfectly clear in my initial request.

It doesn't matter if you have split your tickets either, so still wrong!

I checked on EMT and thetrainline.com and couldn't see these single tickets as cheap. Surely they wouldn't have been available only for a few hours, would they?

Incidently, TPE got back to me to say that their CS Advisor was assuming I had split tickets for my journey, even though I had made that perfectly clear in my initial request.
I would go back to them and ask them to check the "Advance Fares FAQs" in "The Manual" as this is incorrect advice. You can also say that Simon Pritchard, Customer Relations Advisor, is aware of the correct rules and if the person who advised you is unsure, they can ask Simon Pritchard to get clarification.
