I'm currently on holiday on Arran and remembered reading once that one of the original Glasgow Subway cars was taken to Arran as part of an abortive project to establish a transport museum on the Island in the 1980s - in Cladach near Brodick, I believe. I've a few references to the subway car being in Arran over the years - apparently it was taken to Corriegills and was there until it fell apart or was broken up. I believe that Berni Mitchell-Luker was the gentleman behind the project. I'd love to see a picture of the subway car in Arran if there are any! Does anybody know where I might find one or does anybody have any more info about this?
