Apologies. Read your post that only the 1720 omits st Germans! No, I said that the revised 72 omits (ie. does not serve) St. Germans.

Have I missed a St Germans service somewhere else? Surely a village of that size warrants a bus

No worries: that 1720 is currently the only trip to serve it.Apologies. Read your post that only the 1720 omits st Germans!

The 93 runs hourly between Truro and St Columb Major and buses pass there at 26-27 minutes past each hour (from 10 April). The new timetable for the 95 shows arrivals at 25 and departures at 33 so I presume they intentionally connect. But will they wait? The 95 with an end-to-end journey time of 110/116 minutes and a two hourly frequency doesn't leave much recovery time if there are issues!I've heard the 95 is being curtailed to St Columb Major, what's replacing the 95 between St Columb Major and Truro?
There’s a 14’9 arched bridge in St Germans. A decker could carefully pass under it in the very centre but I would imagine as it’s so narrow and on a bend it may fall foul of risk assessments.I have a recollection that journeys on the 72 which went via St Germans had to be single deckers.
Still surprised by the total withdrawal of the 11 between Liskeard and Bodmin Parkway, I think this was purely commercial. Maybe Cornwall won't subsidise as it parallels the train, but what about the day trippers from Plymouth to Padstow and the like? Also when we were on holiday near Looe last autumn and went that way after the morning peak there seemed to be several buses running along the A38 from Bodmin to Liskeard out of service, presumably after college runs. Surely not too difficult to put one is service for a shoppers round trip at least!
Confirmation has now appeared on the GCB website and social media feeds.I'm reliably informed that the link between Liskeard & Bodmin Parkway on the 11 will be retained from 10th April as a result of feedback. Hopefully passengers numbers will be as such to safeguard it's future.
Good! A reprieve, albeit possibly only a temporary one.I'm reliably informed that the link between Liskeard & Bodmin Parkway on the 11 will be retained from 10th April as a result of feedback. Hopefully passengers numbers will be as such to safeguard it's future.

The 48 appears to have begun on the 10th April, and was just a renumbering of the previous evening and Sunday 47 services. (source here, quote below)I’ve noticed that TfC are now doing a 48 service alongside the 47.

Ah I see. Also, don’t think I’ve seen a bus go through Carharrack as late as almost midnight before. Thanks for the info. The 48 appears to have begun on the 10th April, and was just a renumbering of the previous evening and Sunday 47 services. (source here, quote below)
There’s a point on the 56 route that the longer wheel base TfC versions can’t make. The pcb versions used are shorter.I also find it strange that the 56 Newquay to Padstow service seems to routinely use ‘Plymouth Citybus’ Enviro 400s. It was the same last summer and it’s still the same this year, so not a short term measure. I’m surprised they haven’t been repainted into TfC livery?
It was WA17 FTZ and saw it today, but also saw the white liveried E400 WF63 LZD earlier in Tuckingmill with what looked like students on it. I could be wrong about that though. Both were displaying "Transport for Cornwall" on their destination blinds. Not sure why they’re down here but my guess is for a specific reason. An E400 City in a St Luke's Hospice wrap seen running towards Camborne this morning. First time I have seen one of these this far west.
Anyone know why it's down here as it is not tracking on bustimes?
They are both fitted with tachos and have been working private hires. I was indeed told there would be service cuts from September so we can expect more than just the above.A number of entries have appeared on the VOSA's Bus Registration Search for a few changes effective 05/09/2022. The routes in question are:
3 (Penzance Sainsburys - Rosehill Gardens) - withdrawn Penzance Sainsburys to Bus Station
5 (Penzance - Paul, via. Newlyn Coombe and Sheffield) - not sure what is being done here as nothing is given in the "other details" column on the CSV spreadsheet format.
8 (Long Rock - St. Just, via. Treneere, Drift & St. Buryan) - resumption of links to Cape Cornwall School
12/12A/12B (Plymouth - Callington - Launceston - Bude): journeys serving Launceston College to serve Prince Phillip Estate.
16 (Penzance - St. Ives, via. Halsetown, Nancledra & Gulval) - revised timetable
16B (Penzance - St. Ives, via. Gurnards Heard, Zennor & Halsetown) - service withdrawn
HTIOI,
Dave
The 14.15 from Penzance Morrisons yesterday was only going to Pz Bus Station rather than St Just, this being one of only three scheduled journeys over the whole route.I was indeed told there would be service cuts from September so we can expect more than just the above.
The council has to find £0.5m in savings on the local bus budget for this year. The 14.15 from Penzance Morrisons yesterday was only going to Pz Bus Station rather than St Just, this being one of only three scheduled journeys over the whole route.
The 3 withdrawal from Sainsburys seems somewhat contrary to encouraging cross-Penzance travel with lower fares.
On the 16 and 16B I'd find it strange if the 16A timetable was not also changed.
The company must have been having trouble with the 93/95 'connection' at St Columb Major, as they have an alert on their website that it is 'advisory' rather than guaranteed. The council has to find £0.5m in savings on the local bus budget for this year.
I dare say the changes to the 3 once considered in the context of how all the route are crosslinked results in a duty saving.
I understand the cuts in the Camborne area will be more significant.
WG generally waited. Go Cornwall do not. Leaving 2 hour waits. The company must have been having trouble with the 93/95 'connection' at St Columb Major, as they have an alert on their website that it is 'advisory' rather than guaranteed.
WG had two way radios so could call it through if need be to make sure the other driver knew to hold the connectionWG generally waited. Go Cornwall do not. Leaving 2 hour waits.
Exactly: this is a poor show in what is supposed to be a demonstration of the benefits of bus travel to other local authorities/ bus companies. A decent local councillor would be pursuing this.WG had two way radios so could call it through if need be to make sure the other driver knew to hold the connection
