Hi All,

I’ve got to change at St Pancras between Thameslink from Norwood Junction and High Speed train to Ashford International.

I don’t know St Pancras at all, can anyone advise how long I need to give to get between the two platforms? And the best route to take?

Thanks!

It's very straightforward, you come up from the Thameslink platforms which are underground, turn left along the concourse and the escalators up to the high speed platforms are at the other end. It's about one minute walk, and it's all covered by Google Streetview so you can check the whole route online

That's very optimistic. It would take at least a minute to get from the train to the Thameslink barrier line, which involves two escalators plus a walk in between.

I'd allow at least 5 minutes to get to the Javelin platforms.

I meant along the concourse between the two sections of the station, but yes I wasn't entirely clear

That’s really helpful - thanks.

Is there just one route then? I can’t get it wrong and end up taking a longer route?

I’ve got 9-10 mins between potential trains, otherwise another half an hour wait.

As long as you turn left once through the Thameslink ticket barriers you can't go wrong - the SE platforms are at the far end (Streetview is 12 years old so some of the signs will have changed but the locations haven't)

10 minutes will be fine. There is only 1 exit from thameslink and only 1 entrance to the SE platforms. As mentioned, the key is to turn left after exiting Thameslink.

Have you an itinerary? If so, it will give plenty of time (15min minimum from memory).
