in that case, we should put a feeler or too out, see if anyone else can or cant handle there traction. The idea being to bash both types and see, after intensive use, which stands up better in terms of ride qualitty, reliabilitty, passenger cumfort and the after effects it has on riders after a prolonged period! To work propperly, it needs a proportion of pro and anti both units, similar to whats been on this thread.Would ONLY work if you had it in Manchester
I'd be up for it. I'd like to think I'd have at least a couple on my side (i.e. "The Pacer Boys"), although I'd be more anti-323 than pro-Pacer.
Only one thing though, if we did eventually do this, I hope I can be excused for finding an alternative method of travel from EDB as a 4 and a half hour stint on a tpe 185, usually on the floor aint my idea of fun!

The only thing that annoys me about 323s is the seat cushions which don't seem to last long before they become horrid to sit on. Luckily Northern have been fitting newer Barbie seat cushions here and there which makes things a bit more bareable and London Midland seem to be fitting much firmer seat cushions which hopefully will have a longer life.
I do wonder what has happening with the twice stalled C6 overhaul planned for the Northern units as they are becoming a bit of a mess with roof panels held on by duck tape, lino which has gone a mess and some panels which use a (BR1 Key?) literally held on just by the lock.
I have to say that the cleanliness of the toilets on the Northern units is much better than they used to be but the door mechanisms are in a very bad state all round and really do need renewing as a matter of dire urgency.
interesting to get a report on interior conditions aboard a northern unit. Take it they keep putting the C6 off? If so, is it by any chance simply down to there amazing lack of rolling stock? Oh and Northern and clean toilets in the same sentence? Wish they'd managed that aboard the 158s using the S and C when I spent half of 2009 using it 4 or 5 times a month. Grrrr!
