Grand central St Peters metro station.

I have just checked the grand central website, for next Saturday as it is a strike day, I was surprised to see the trains were starting at St Peter's metro station instead of Sunderland station. Is this the first time that it has happened.

GC, (and Northern), used St Peters back in January when Sunderland station was flooded.

I just found the thread, GC services seem to have been northbound only on that occasion:

The Northern website is reporting that due to heavy rain affecting the overhead wires in the station area, Northern services will call additionally at St Peters. This will continue until at least Friday 6th January (although after today, there are no Northern services on that line until Sunday...
