Hi All - I’ve now seen 2 Grand Central 5 cars “off route” this week.

First was going through Conisborough but I wasn’t close enough to see if there were any passengers on board.

Now I’ve just had one come past me on Platform 1 at Chesterfield, didn’t stop and had no passengers.

What gives?

I'd hazard a guess that the working through Chesterfield today was this working from Central Rivers to Crofton depot:

I'd assume it'd been down there for some sort of work that Crofton were unable to cater for. Depending on direction, the unit through Conisbrough could have been the same one on its way there - a date and time would allow the working to be confirmed. Hopefully someone will have some more definitive info.

221143 went down to Central Rivers on Tuesday (17/12).
Ah, that certainly makes sense if it was one of their Voyagers. Mention of "Grand Central" had me immediately picturing a 180.

Thanks for all the replies.

Though that Tuesday working was the right day, it doesn't appear to have run through Conisborough and was earlier than the one I saw (about 13:00).

Yesterday's working was definitely the one I saw as the time is spot on.
