Sunday was a training run for the Stewards, who will be with each group of guests, and to check out the timings/content/format. There are more details on the GCR website.
It's a Class 20 on the Northern section (D8154) with a DBSO.Does anyone know what will be working on the GCRN this weekend for the Reunification event?
I tried looking on the website but can only see the timetable

From what was said on Sunday, the cl. 20 developed a fault on Saturday, hence the 08 substitute. The cl. 20 was running OK on Sunday (I had a ride behind it).Although on Saturday morning it was 08694, not the 20! And the train I was on, 1130 from Ruddington, only went as far as Rushcliffe. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice if someone had told the passengers what was happening.

Set E is 2x Mk1 non-corridor suburban coaches.Looking at the timetable for the diesel gala this weekend, I noticed that there are the usual list of rakes A, B, C. A & B tend to be longer sets with shorter set C. What is rake E?
Thank you.Set E is 2x Mk1 non-corridor suburban coaches.
Sounds an amazing experience!Had a very enjoyable day yesterday driving 55019, a good morning looking round the Loughborough site and seeing the progress with the reunification work, then the main event of driving the engine and 6 carriages. Braking via vacuum brakes certainly takes a bit of getting used to. The staff at the GCR were great all day, not a cheap event, but if you can afford it, definitely worthwhile.

The best seat in the house!. Did the screwdriver become useful whilst driving?Had a very enjoyable day yesterday driving 55019, a good morning looking round the Loughborough site and seeing the progress with the reunification work, then the main event of driving the engine and 6 carriages. Trains are running but it's a reduced timetable due to the fire risk with no Steam. Details of the timetable and loco roster here https://www.gcrailway.co.uk/timetables-and-fares/Looking at the GCR website, Sat 5 & Sun 6 July are not normal running days, and the only event appears to be a first class dining experience. Is this correct? Why aren't trains running this particular weekend? They seem to operate other Saturdays and Sundays.
Unless I am missing something, that page only shows the timetable and loco roster for this coming weekend. There are then individual links for further June weekends. For dates beyond June, you are invited to click on the link to the ticketing site. This has entries for weekends June 21/22 & 28/29 and July 12/13, 19/20 etc, but no entries for the weekend of 5 & 6 July.Trains are running but it's a reduced timetable due to the fire risk with no Steam. Apologies my fault - misread your initial post (hadn't had coffee yet!)Unless I am missing something, that page only shows the timetable and loco roster for this coming weekend. Are you saying that trains will actually be running on 5 & 6 July, to the same timetable and roster as this coming weekend? In which case, the website is wrong in showing nothing running?
