On Friday I travelled on the GA network and there were 168 cancellations due to signalling problems on the rural routes , the cancellations on the Norwich to Sheringham route have been ongoing for a couple of weeks , on Friday was at Ely only one service operated (Norwich to Cambridge) one of the old units ,not a new Stadler . it seems to me when one of the new trains are introduced on the network signalling problems persist ,on Friday EMR were able to run a full service from Ely to Norwich despite signalling problems that only seemed to affect GA. Got in touch with GA customer service Saturday who said they are in negotiations with NR about permission IE why EMR got it and not GA .
Passenger focus suggested I exhaust GA internal procedure before going to the rail ombudsman,or submitting a FOI request to network rail. saw an article on the eastern daily press this week in which one anonymous employee at crown point describe the new units as "Basils " because they were so Fawlty.
