Will be concentration test (SCAAT), ticket checking/selling test. Rules test and a customer service roleplay. Did they send you practice materials?

Good luck, my first was a conductor assessment. Which depot are you going for?

No, they didn't send any practice materials or mention anything really other than inviting me.

There was no option to specify a depot when i applied, they did mention that if your not within 20 miles you will be asked to relocate though.

I would contact HR as they should send practice materials.

Good luck, the tests aren't too bad :)

What uberslacker said but also a comprehension test and a maths test. Also be prepared for the X-Factor style eliminations. At least when I did it after some of the tests they would call in people who had been unsuccessful at each stage and sent them off.

Also what he said, they are not as hard as you will probably work yourself up into thinking they are! Hardest was probably the SCAAT test, more because there is no way to know how well or not you are doing, rather than it being difficult.

Feel free to ask about anything else.

By the way, Norwich is the best depot! ;)

Thanks for the info!

I take it your at the Norwich depot then! :D

Not too worried to be honest, just gonna make sure I'm prepared and practice with the SCAAT test. What's the role play test like?

The roleplay assessment you are given info regarding a fictional service/station. You may be asked about assistance for a mobility impaired passenger, timetable queries. Pretty much what you will encounter in daily life as a conductor.

I'm sure Norwich is a lovely depot ;)

Well done. The managers interview is largely along the line of

-can you give a time when you had to deal with a difficult situation
-working to rules

Experiences relating to past work, why you think you will be right for job etc.

good luck. Who is it with?
