Like tonightYes there has been quite a loss of west drivers to GN hence the reduced weekend timetables on some GA routes and the odd cancellation here and there.

Did you get any update ?No I haven't heard anything since the email confirming I had passed stage 1. I'll get in contact and see what they say.
Are you able to shed some light on the DFFT test?If it helps time line wise, I had too sit the dfft part of stage 1 (had previously passed the rest with another toc before) I sat this dfft on May 29th.
I had another email on 24th June saying I had passed the dfft & didn’t have too complete stage 2 again due to having already passed previously.
Then received another email at the start of July bringing me in for driver manager interview which was booked in for mid July then had a e-mail at end of July saying I was successful following interview but would be held in a talent pool.
Towards the end of August I had another email advising they had a space opening up so had my medical 2 days after said email, medical all passed I ended up starting at the beginning of October
Definitely wasn’t expecting it to go as quick as it did!
Sorry, didn’t realise this response was hereAre you able to shed some light on the DFFT test?
What it involved? Was it hard?
Pretty certain if someone failed it it’s going to be hard and if they passed it’s easy. Are you able to shed some light on the DFFT test?

Just looking to see what it’s based on?Sorry, didn’t realise this response was here
I sat it back earlier in the year but unfortunately I can’t remember what was on it off the top of my head but I do remember I definitely found it slightly easier than all of the other testing I had been through previously![]()
I did it not long ago and would also say it's a bit easier than the other tests. Theres 15 questions in something like 15 minutes (Can't remember exactly) but you'd probably be expected to complete about 9 minimum. It involves going through sheets showing a few train systems eg. a power box with the arrow pointing to good/ok/low or maybe windscreen fluid with a pressure bar, then on another sheet the priority things must be checked eg if the power box is low then there's an error and this must be dealt with first. It can look a bit daunting at the start due to a lot of info but its just a case of reading instructions and working methodically through step by step. The practice material you get sent is very similar to what you will do.Just looking to see what it’s based on?
Fault finding? Cogs?

stage 2 being the psycometric tests?Just had an email to say I'm still on the list for stage 2 at some point. So there's still hope for those of us that completed stage 1 earlier this year.
The computer tests and mmistage 2 being the psycometric tests?

Hi everyone - I start driver training at the end of the month for GA and I just wondered if anyone has been through the process, with GA or another TOC, and out of interest could tell me roughly what it the process looks like through to qualification
TIA!!
