Hey everyone, all new to this, my first post.
Just completing application form on like for GTR and stuck on last question asking '
GTR are a values based organisation and all employees are expected to role model values and work towards achieving the GTR vision. The GTR values are outlined as follows: Continuous Improvement - constantly finding new ways to improve how we work Dedicated to Safety - safety is the foundation on which we build our railway. Excellence - we're passionate about going the extra mile and owning our commitments Working Together - creating partnerships with customers and colleagues to build strong teams and communities. Committed to Customer - you keep our customers at the heart of everything we do. Describe how you will help realise GTR's values?

Any ideas and help with what to write?

Sorry mate can't help you with that answer as of yet, but can I ask have you had any problems with the website crashing whilst you have been filling the form in?

Read their values and give them examples of when you applied those or similar values in your working career or personal life. For example, if you have ever worked in a customer service environment, have you ever done anything for a customer of yours which you weren't supposed to do but made them happy or very satisfied of the service received. Also, episodes of your life when you put safety at the top of your priorities. They want to hear the word SAFETY continually.

These would be my tips. But the tip number one is spend time browsing this website. It's full of good stuff. Use the search facility or google your questions. You may then be directed to this website anyway.

They want to hear the word SAFETY continually.

Safety is one of the core values. What about the rest ? Banging on about safety probably ain't gonna get you much further than a glance and comes across as rhetoric.

It's about you and you alone. Have a look again at the core values and see how that relates to you as a person. Do you ave any qualities that you can offer to support their values ? Can you identify with what they are aiming to achieve from a holistic perspective ?

Its about YOU. Try not to think about what they want to hear and answer the question given. There is usually some form of follow-up at interview level and you can elaborate further on the answer you provide. Don't try and blag it, just write what feels natural to you.
