That’s brilliant, thank you for your advice. I have already started to do some homework on GWR and thinking of some real life examples of customer service situations I have been in.
Assessment is on the 26th so still have time to prep
Do you mind me asking if you are in a customer host role yourself?

Look at the core values of the company and like already said apply the star it’s basically telling a story instead of a one word answer

Hello everyone. Firstly thanks for all the input in the forum. I have gained knowledge and some great tips how to perform on my interview.
I applied for a Customer Host (CH) position for Exeter St. Davids/ GWR in November 2024. Passed all the online assessments. I was successful in the group assessment and the interview was with very good outcome as I got plenty of hospitality experience so answered all the questions with relevant experience. There was bit of miscommunication on GWR side as they didn't mention the position was for talent pool. I have been now waiting for about 2/3 months for news and last week I checked they are advertising "CH" position for my local station on the FirstGroup website. This is also for Customer Host talent pool position. Does this mean I should be expecting to hear from GWR anytime soon or don't have high hopes ? I currently work in very unpleasant job and don't really want to change jobs as waiting for the offer to land. It's getting pretty miserable by the day. If you could share your experience that would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi, I just want to ask you what kind of things you did in group assessment because i passed my online assessment after 2 week, they invited me for assessment centre by GWR coustomer host and I am worried what they will ask on that day and what sort of task

Apply for other positions, they have put you on hold and until you get a firm job offer from them there is no reason why you shouldn't do the same. Talent pool placements more than often result in nothing more.

Hi mate in same boat placed in talent
Pool October24 for TM they have re advertised for same role I emailed to check and they would
Only say still in pool and they were just extending the pool
