Has anyone seen this on the GWR website:

I'm guessing there is no benefit in submitting an expression of interest if you already have an application in?

Although may be a good insight to the job whilst waiting for the application process to proceed?

Maybe... Although I read it as more of a careers fair type thing. Speaking with drivers etc about how they feel about the role and training.

Not sure you will gain much more insight into much else. But could be wrong!

Just wondering, can you attend this if you are 15? If you are 15 do you think they would allow you to attend providing you bring along a parent? Incredibly interested in driving, but I have no connections to the railway in the UK, so this could be a good opportunity to learn more before I turn 18.

Think you would have to ping an email and ask.

Good luck to all those still in the process for this campaign. Stick with it.

LKS, if I’m assuming correctly, we bumped into each other on the platform at Exeter St David’s back in March as I was going in for my DMI. If that was you then I see you were successful and I wish you the best of luck in training. Unfortunately I didn’t make the grade but maybe I’ll try again in the future. All the best

If you are who I am thinking of, then yes.

I'm so sorry to hear you didn't make it! I know it's no consolation, but you passed the difficult bits! So they are valid for 5 years.

I was successful, and start training in August.

I wish you all the best with future applications

I’ve just been invited to an assessment day at Swindon, it seems they are running all the tests and an interview on one day, this seems like a very full day and daunting plus given I applied for Exeter quite a way to travel. The dates are a problem. If I turn down the dates 29 Aug or 2 Sept is it likely I will have to wait a long time for another set of dates? If anyone on here works for GWR in Exeter area would be great if you would be kind enough to make contact please?
