I was flicking through the great ol' Wigan reporter when I came across a Northern advert. This one here:
'Avoid the crowds and save money'. They won't be saying that tomorrow when the hordes of man and wife with child in tow are making their way to the Manchester Christmas markets. Last week, I could tell the market had opened just by the amount of people who piled on (or tried to pile on) at every stop. What made it more irritating is that a member of the public who was stood next to me insisted on shouting 'move down the train, there's loads of room!' at every stop. If there was that much room, why didn't he go there?
Anyway, not a very good advert because for the majority of the time, you are not 'avoiding the crowds' as the advert states.
Oh, and merry Christmas
Callum.
