I booked an Advance ticket for this journey a couple of weeks ago and was somewhat surprised when the only option was to change at Shrewsbury for Chester, rather than my usual for the 1108 from HFD to MAN when I change at Crewe for Liverpool South Parkway.
I thought there must be track works between CRE and LPY or LPY and Moorfields but it seems not.
There's a royal visit by train in Hereford today but I wouldn't have thought that would necessitate this change to the usual schedule. Is it just that I booked my ticket fairly close to travel date so CRE-LPY is assumed to be full?
