Hounslow to Hitchin, back to Surbiton

[Going South]

Hi,
I'm travelling form Hounslow to Hitchin at 5.30pm and Hitchin to Surbiton at 9.30pm.
Is there a way to do this without forking out for 2 singles?
I have no railcard or oyster.

How about a combination of:
Off Peak Day Travelcard £12.10
Off Peak Day Return Boundary Zone 6 to Hitchin £11.10
Total £23.20
