I was chatting to someone and they wondered how they would get to Brighton from Berrylands by bus. They have a freedom pass.

I tried Google maps but that 2antes to put them on a coach or train, even though I said preferred method bus.

Are there any other sites that would allow this kind of search. Thanks.

I've had a look and the only route it suggests is a 19 minute walk to Southborough, the 465 to Dorking, the 93 to Horsham and the 17 to Brighton, but journey time is nearly 4 hours!

Another option is a ten minute walk into Surbiton, the 418 to Epsom, the 460 to Crawley and then the 273 down to Brighton.

Do concession bus holders get discount on GTR services? I know concessionary pass holders in Wales get a small discount on certain Transport for Wales rail services.

Personally I'd Oyster/Contactless it into Victoria, then get a National Express to Brighton.

Berrylands take it the freedom passes are valid on trains & tram in TFL zones, so train to Wimbledon, then Tram to West Croydon, or if you want to do it all by bus
K2 Berrylands-Kingston
X26 Kingston-Croydon
405 West Croydon-Redhill
100 Redhill-Crawley[can also catch 400/460]
271/272/273 Crawley-Brighton

Or
K2 Berrylands-Kingston
406/418 Kingston-Epsom
460 Epsom-Crawley then as from Crawley

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Go-Ahead London operate a return trip, numbered 773, to Brighton from Dorking (school days) or Sutton (school holidays).

SCHOOL DAYS
K2: 0656 Berrylands to Hook (0713)
465: 0733 Hook to Dorking (0829)
773: 0840 Dorking to Brighton (1020)
(Three hours in Brighton)
773: 1330 Brighton to Dorking (1510)
465: 1535 Dorking to Hook (1637)
K2: 1648 Hook to Berrylands (1708)

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
K2: 0709 Berrylands to Kingston (0728)
X26: 0737 Kingston to Sutton (0818)
773: 0830 Sutton to Brighton (1020)
(Six hours in Brighton)
773: 1630 Brighton to Sutton (1830)
X26: 1833 Sutton to Kingston (1908)
K2: 1917 Kingston to Berrylands (1931)

Alternatively, they also operate a more limited route 775 from Kingston to Brighton, then on to Eastbourne. It operates Sundays/Holidays 26/29 May, 2/9/16/23/30 June, and 7/14 July.

K2: 0807 Berrylands to Kingston (0821)
775: 0845 Kingston to Brighton (1100
(Seven hours in Brighton)
775: 1815 Brighton to Kingston (2030)
K2: 2043 Kingston to Berrylands (2054)

The downside is the 773/775 both require payment - £10 return. No concessions.

https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0005/10688/773-London-General-010319a.pdf
choose a not school day to get it from sutton or a school day dorking to redhill then to brighton
now i dont know but would assume iff you got a ticket to salfords then there to brighton and back to berrylands would be covered
as i live at redhill assume i would not be allowed as itt leaves at 0925
