The full length HSTs to Paddington finished last May, but short 4-coach ones cover most of the services from Cardiff to Taunton (and sometimes beyond) via Bristol.
Indeed. And probably a few more beyond Taunton than at present once the timetable changes kick in on 16th December, whereafter:
- 2U06 (0737 Weston-super-Mare - Cardiff Central) will start back from Exeter St. Davids at 0633
- 2C67 (0800 Cardiff Central - Paington) becomes 0800 Cardiff Central - Penzance
- 2U12 (0925 St. James Park - Cardiff Central) will become 0640 Penzance - Cardiff Central
- 2U20 (1253 Paignton - Cardiff Central) will become 1050 Penzance - Cardiff Central
- 2C77 (1300 Cardiff Central - Exeter St. Davids) will instead be 1300 Cardiff Central - Penzance.
- 2U32 (2121 Bristol Temple Meads - Cardiff Central) will become 1650 Penzance - Cardiff Central
- 2C87 (1800 Cardiff Central - Taunton) becomes 1800 Cardiff Central - Penzance
- 2C93 (2154 Bristol Temple Meads - Exeter St. Davids) becomes 2100 Cardiff Central - Exeter St. Davids
I imagine at least some of those will be diagrams worked by mini-HSTs but there will likely be some DMUs on that too.
