I think he meant once they had stopped to secure the train mate. to answer that, they don't usually put it into full service, probably usually notch 3 or 2 or something like that. ;) 8)

:( looks like ive started a argument

basicaly looking at a photo i saw of a hst cab the brake needle was right to the bottom which i belive is 3 and on the bve4 hst that is notch 6

You haven't started an argument mate it's OK. The picture you saw was probably of a shut down HST with the brake pipe at 0 bar.
