Hi guys,

Sorry for not saying anything earlier but last week was quite busy for me.

Contracts - expect to get them a couple of weeks before you start. That seems to be the norm based on what I have heard so far.

Oyster card - received mine on the first day of work, you will get it in your mailbox around that time.

Parking - There is parking available at Romford, not sure how you get access to it though. You'll probably need to request it in advance.

Training period - estimated to last 9 months for TMs.

Training - So far, good pace, nice people, well structured.

That should answer some questions but feel free to ask if you need any help

Thank you for the information. It’s reassuring to know it’s just a HR issue and the training is more focused. What are the training hours? Wasn’t sure if 8-4 or 9-5 etc. They mentioned shift patterns at all either?

Hope it’s going well for you and the other TM. See you in a few weeks

Glad to hear about the contract.

Working hours are 9-4 at the moment.

9-4 sounds good to me!!

Be good to start and actually get confirmation of exact nature of the role and likely hours/shifts. It appears overtime will be paid. Not much in contract. Seems a week before starting a bit more information to come. V much a leap of faith at moment.

Looking forward to it. Nerves from lack of information lol.

I think some of it is about making things work for us as a group/team arranging some sort of mutual shift swap and leave system etc and then between all of us we can work things out that works best for peoples situations. That's what's worked in most 24/7 roles I've worked in.
Happy workers, happy workplace makes productive employees!

The envelope that says is pre paid is not just in case people don’t check. I almost didn’t!

Also, the pension leaflet sent out is out of date from June 2015 and they are accepting pension transfers.

Hi all, hoping the information will be on the doormat very soon (fingers crossed).

Does anyone know what to do about season tickets? Heard loan will come in first pay so potentially a months travel costs initially. Not sure if the ticket can be bought on credit card and then get the loan back for it.

Ha I was just wondering whether anyone has actually heard where we are meant to be on Monday morning....
I was planning on buying a weeks ticket until we're told next week what the deal is. I certainly hope the loan can be used to repay a credit card (don't see why it wouldn't?) otherwise I may be walking to Shenfield!

I received a helpful email today. The pack is being sent out today to all of us and this will contain all the necessary forms we will need.

Anyone still around here that can offer some advice? I see TFL are recruiting for both of these roles again. I know the thread hasn’t been active for a while and you guys are all nicely settled in your jobs by now but if you could offer some guidance to the process that would be great. :)
