Hi all,
Thank you for having me. I'm a long time reader of the forum but never needed to post until now.
I commute up to London once a week from my home in Surrey using a variety of stations/routes. Checking train times on the national rail app for one route, I noticed the price of a return had significantly decreased. I checked several TOC's websites and they all had the same price. It looks like there's an error in the system somewhere and the journey has been categorised as one where it wouldn't meet the criteria due to the time of day. My question is if I were to buy a ticket at this price, would I be let through the gate/pass a ticket inspection? The saving is significant but not worth the risk of action if someone has decided i've 'cheated' the railway. I have taken a screenshot of the journey from the national rail app/TOC's website if I could present that as evidence if needed?
Thanks in advance
