They are warm white lamps. Attached is a photo of the table lamp of a mark 1 SO.

You can now get some interesting LED lights with strands that emulate filaments. You'd be hard pushed to tell the difference when lit. The giveaway is the instant on and off, and less heat.

If and when we one day switch lighting circuits to 12V or even less, we may be able to ditch transformers in bulbs and make them even smaller and cooler. But that's for the future.
