Less warm.

I didn’t notice it until you did. It was definitely over the tracks. I think the ICE had stopped on the adjacent track but one, ie the doors are open onto the platform on the other side, and there’s an unoccupied track in the foreground.

Even though I haven't been there for nearly 25 years, I remember it well.... especially that small tamper shed in the background. Sadly my laptop - on which most of my overseas photos are stored - is currently a demic and awaiting works attention....so I shall have to declare 'open floor'.

A good guess, because the X40 train in the picture has indeed been renovated by VR Fleet Care in Oulu and Pieksämäki, Finland. IRJ reported on the first one being delivered here. But this photo was taken in Sweden.

Not Luleå - because it’s on a branch line away from the Main Line through Norrland that the X40s are taking through Sweden from (Haparanda then) Boden to (normally) Västerås.
