If your ticket is routed "Any Permitted" you can go via Aberdeen both ways. If you wish to go via Aviemore one way and via Aberdeen the other, then purchase the cheaper fare; the excess for a change of route is half the difference between the price paid and the appropriate fare.

I was looking at the return fare via Aviemore , did not notice that there was more expensive via Aberdeen fare . So the excess is cheaper than the £20 difference in fare?
