Are the IR *current* 201 Dublin Cork diagrams available please ?

Or list of trains that are LH or dmu ?

The last actual list I can find in any forum by any search was the one in here dated 01/2020 - and that thread is not open for replies. As that was the year 2020 BC (before covid) things might have changed !

TIA.

Thanks.

But I have to double check now.

That list is EXACTLY the same data as the list posted in this forum in 01/2020, right down to the FX FO SO SuO variations.

Is it really exactly without change 4 years on with covid impact in between ?

I don't have info either way, which is why I asked, but I think most might question something like this exactly the same.

You can check by making a pretend booking. If no First Class is offered, it's an ICR, if a First Class upgrade is offered at €10 not €20 then again, it's an ICR.

That's the simplest way to double check that I know of.

I don't tend to post dud information.

YES it is correct.

I am struggling to wonder what exactly do you expect to change?

It's a small fleet of 8 trains with 6 in service on any one day, with one running maintenance spare and one heavy maintenance spare.

The diagrams allow for the sets to access the train wash and maintenance in Dublin and to ensure that the trains with Tralee line connections are always Mark 4 operated.

Looking at the European Rail Timetable (but note that I am still using the Winter edition) all trains are marked as having First Class except the 21.00 Down, and 05.45 and 06.15 Up Monday to Saturday. On Sunday it is the 18.00 and 21.00 Down, and 08.25 Up.

Some ICR sets have a First Class (Premier Class) coach, which is 2+2 compared with the 2+1 of the Mk4s (CityGold).

What I expected /might/ have changed is that based on 50 years of knowledge on having loco diagrams and workings of multiple systems in GB and EU I can't think of one single example where the same workings in the same timings with 4 different weekdays and weekends variations have remained exactly constant over 5 years - especially with covid in between. That is pretty unusual by anyone's standards. Hence I double checked.

The Mark IV set work has definitely adapted during that period, for example there's a 0605 from Dublin Heuston now which didn't used to exist at all. It's just that the balance is still the same for where there's gaps.

The diagrams didn't remain the same during Covid. Fewer sets were in use then.
Exactly. And I think some of the ICRs will be different formations potentially?

Interesting inconsistency on the 0545 though.

The diagrams have indeed changed but not significantly, and some of the ICRs have changed formation.

The 21:00 Dublin-Cork was formed of a 7pce ICR, with a 4pce on the 05:45 return & a 3pce on the 06:15 the next morning until the last timetable change in December 2023.

The 05:45 ex-Cork is now at 05:40 and is a Mk IV set, the 21:00 & 06:15 return are 4pce ICR operated and there is a new 06:00 Heuston-Cork which is Mark IV operated.
