Issues with Network Rail Careers Responses

Hi all,
I applied for a role with Network Rail around 3 weeks ago, with the job closing on 09.11.23. I passed all the online assessments and was told they'd be in contact after 2 weeks from the closing date, which fell on 23.11.23.
Still yet to hear anything & the online portal still hasn't updated?

Has anybody else experienced issues like this with Network Rail Careers?

Hi there.

Network Rail HR is known to be notoriously slow. I’ve applied for a job and the online portal was stuck on “Invite to assesment 2 pending” for another 3 weeks after the closing date. Then got an interview booked in for 2 weeks later. After the interview I was told I will hear back within 2 weeks but it was almost 5 weeks when i received the results.

Just be patient. They will eventually come back to you. You might want to send an email or contact recruitment if you are very eager but they will probably tell you they are still processing it.

If its with maintenance, there’s supposedly a recruitment freeze on at the moment, so be prepared to wait some more.

Had an interview early November with Network Rail, still waiting for an outcome and online portal not updated. Not sure what’s going on but did hear there was a recruitment freeze but pretty sure anything advertised has already passed any necessity to recruit into a post (Surely?)

You would think that, but there has been people who have been successful with their interviews and the job has been pulled before a contract was accepted.

Unfortunately that’s railway recruitment; a few days after a deadline is nothing!

My response and invite to testing went to my Junk folder and I didnt find it until after the deadline to do the tests , so keep an eye on your junk folder also.

Was this for a signaller apprenticeship by any chance? I passed all online assessments etc too.
If so I received an email today saying they’ve filled all interview slots and would keep my details on file for the next round of recruitment.
