Does anyone know if Jameson road railway bridge (infilled structure) on the Poulton to Fleetwood line is maintained by Network rail or is maintained by the highway agency/DoT and would the structure have a weight limit applied to the it?

Thanks.

I found a photo on Flickr which shows it has a BRB serial number, (stands for British Railways Board) which usually means it was not transferred to Network Rail, and would now be the responsibility of Highways England (Historic Railways Estate).

Thank you. Would that apply to the whole line too?

Lancashire county council claims Network rail owns it, however they don't hold anything after 2014. but I have my doubts. HRE confirmed BRB too. I am leaning towards Highways England too. https://governmentbuildings.co.uk/properties/view/833461

I think Highways England (HRE) only took on physical structures that were part of a road network. Not really my specialist subject though, someone else might know more.

I will email Highways England.
I think Network Rail owns the line, as they gave the license to Poulton and Wyre railway to maintain the line.

Most important thing is who maintains the infilled structure though and does an infilled structure have weight limts.
